Christmas things for Avery.....

I found this outfit and loved the saying on it. It is red velvet with crochet trim

A close of the embroidery on it: I am a gift of God.

This is an ornament that my aunt Kathy gave us as an early present this year.

I couldn't get a good picture without a glare, but it says "dreaming of you 2006"

Paul and Kelby picked out this Christmas dress for Avery, it came complete with booties and a hat.

We are accumulating quite a collection for our girl!!

We bought a stroller....

Paul and I were out and about Saturday and had about an hour to kill. What better place to spend it that Babies R Us. Several times we have looked at strollers but never seen one that reached out and grabbed us. Until Saturday that is. We both loved this one. It is gray and white with a plaid pattern in places and a checked pattern in others. It has all the Mommy conviences too (drink holder, place to hide keys, etc). It is just adorable. Now only if we had someone to put in it......

Little People Madness.....

Here's where we stand in the Little People Department, do they make a support group for this?

Extra people to go with our sets. One of these I received from my secret Pal. She must read my blog. The other Paul and I purchased to represent Avery's grandparents. You can never have too many people right?

The boat and water ski set was purchased by Avery's daddy. He said it represents all our summer camp outs and he can't wait to teach her to ski.

We just could not NOT get the plane. After all it is how Avery will come home. We loved the hawaiian themed people that came with it and can't wait until we take her to hula in Hawaii.

The neighborhood park was just too cute. It comes complete with an ice cream truck and everything. It will be a great addition to the neighborhood.

These two sets were given to us by a friend. She said her son never even opened them. WHAT???? Anyway we love the little police department it goes great in our family and what girl doesn't need her own carwash?

Mimi and poppy purchased the castle set for Avery last Christmas, since then we have acquired all the coordinating sets. Good thing because this set in now nearly impossible to find.

The set that started it all.....this was a set that I purchased last year at the great Wal-Mart sale the day after Thanksgiving. I had not really seen Little People before and everyone was grabbing at this like it was a big bargain so you know I had to get in on the action. Once I got home and really looked at it I was hooked!!

The amusement park set goes along with Paul and my love of Disney World, since they don't make Disney Little People this was the next best thing.

And last but certainly not least....the Wal-Mart set. No explanation really necessary. Since most of my money goes to Wal-Mart I found it only appropriate that we have the Supercenter and the WM big rig.

There you have it, Avery's collection. The only picture missing is the farm and house that I purchased last week and posted on the other blog.

Avery's Christmas Stocking....

My ever-crafty mom made Avery's Stocking:

I love it and think it turned out beautiful. Thanks mom!!!!

More stuff......

A few more of Avery's things I wanted to share:

These two adorable outfits were given to me for my birthday back in July by Shelli from MWL.

Last month when I went to Divine Consign with Erin and Christie these are the treasures I found. The box is supposed to be for wipes but I think it will be for hair bows. A cute purple jacket, a onesie and a tooth fairy pillow.

This is Avery's closet as it is today. I better get to shoppin' but Paul says NO MORE PINK!!
A couple of weeks ago when we had movie night, Christie gave us all these adorable Old Navy hats for our girls.

Valerie gave me this dress for Avery for my birthday. I love the colors!!!

Toy chest and dresser knobs

I finally got around to stenciling the toy chest. This was Paul's toy chest when he was a boy and we refurbished it.

The stenciling was the final step in the process. It matches her dresser.

After weeks of searching my mom and I found knobs for the dresser. We had seen several types at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc but the knobs we liked were $5 a piece. I just could not justify spending $50 on knobs so I had resigned to using the plain white ones that came on the dresser. After a last ditch effort while shopping at target we found these great knobs:

Believe it or not it was a package of 8 for $15. What a bargain!! We wound up using the white one's on the bottom drawer so it would not take away from the stenciling.

I am not sure how often I will update this blog but check back periodically to see what else we come up with in Avery's World.

Cute pj's, cradle bedding, and daddy's shirt

Okay folks, here we go with the first display of items in Avery's World.

I saw these pajamas on another blog several weeks ago. I immediately went to Gymboree so that I could get a pair because I thought they were so cute.

The bones glow in the dark!!

My mom recently finished the a bedding set for the doll cradle that is in Avery's room.

It is a mini version of Avery's bedding.

In case you don't remember what Avery's bedding looks like here it is:

It was all sewn by my mom.

While at Gymboree getting the pj's, I found this shirt and had to have it too.

The picture is a little hard to read, but the shirt says "Daddy's Girl"

More to come....

The purpose of this blog..........

Instead of drowning my original blog with pictures of all the things we have for Avery I have decided to start this separate blog to showcase the things we have purchased and/or received for our future daughter.

ENJOY.............
